The Mid-Peninsula Newcomers Club is a non-profit group whose ultimate mission is to promote social activities and community involvement for new arrivals to this area.  Newcomers' goal is to encourage new friendships and expand personal interests in the Bay Area.  The Club helps to smooth the otherwise difficult transition often experienced after a new move.

Membership

All residents who have moved to Atherton, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Portola Valley or Woodside within the past five years are invited to join the Newcomers Club.  Residents of these towns who are experiencing a recent life change (such as retirement, divorce, an empty nest, or the death of a spouse) are also encouraged to join.

The Club warmly welcomes new members to the local community and provides them with an opportunity to meet other friendly residents with similar interests.  Members develop close friendships, expand their interests, and learn more about the surrounding area through a wide range of activities.

Our group is comprised of a diverse group of people coming from different parts of the United States and other countries worldwide.

Dues are $40 per year.  Prospective members must complete the application form and submit it to the Membership Chairperson.

Communication

On the first Thursday of each month, we host a Board Meeting and Coffee to welcome new members and plan activities for the upcoming month.  Descriptions of our upcoming activities are found in the monthly newsletter that is sent to all Newcomers.
